A stone lithograph c.1974 by Alaska artist R.T. "Skip" Wallen (b.1942) entitled "Windfall Fisherman." The work depicts a brown bear observed during the summer of 1973 near Windfall Harbor on Admiralty Island; the bear having just hauled itself up on a log to eat a freshly caught salmon. This print inspired the artist's life-size bronze sculpture commissioned by the City and Borough of Juneau to commemorate the Silver Anniversary of Alaska Statehood, and was installed across from the Alaska Capitol building. The lithograph is titled to right of center, marked 98/150, and hand signed in graphite lower right. Matted within a dark wood frame with a few surface blemishes as shown, measuring approximately 25" x 29.5" overall.
