An original pastel, an unusual format for the artist, by the late Alaska artist Ellen Henne Goodale (1915-1991). The work depicts a musher with packed sled sled and a team of five husky dogs, all taking a brief respite in the sunshine outside a snow-covered cabin in the remote Alaskan wilderness. Signed by the artist lower right, matted and framed with a few scuffs, right side, as shown. Measures approximately 14" x 17.75" overall.
