Category: Art: Originals

Two coordinating circa 1970 lithographs by abstract expressionist Paul Jenkins (American, 1923-2012), hand numbered 12/30 and signed by the artist, lower right. The artist's signature style involved pouring paint directly onto the canvas before tilting it to allow the paint to drip and pool into colorful abstract washes; his work is housed in the Hirshhorn, Museum of Modern Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, and other equally notable institutions. Both pieces are mounted on wrapped canvas and housed within minimalist frames; original gallery cards affixed to both en verso. Each measures approximately 17" x 12" overall.
