A modern and realistic depiction of the venerable walrus carved from a continuous segment of aged walrus tusk by Siberian Yup'ik carver Kyle Pungowiyi of St. Lawrence Island, Alaska. The body is deeply scored to create folds of skin, the hind flippers fanned gracefully forward and dotted artfully with baleen, the eyes with fossil ivory, the notable tusks extending to the near height of its body, and the entirety enhanced by the natural hue and color of the ivory itself. Measures approximately 2.5" x 2" x 3" tall.
