A signed and numbered 280/950 print by the late Alaska artist Fred Machetanz (1908-2002), with signatures from the first five Governors of the State of Alaska - William A. Egan (1959-1966, 1970-1974), Walter J. Hickel 1966-1969, 1990-1994), Keith H. Miller (1969-1970), Jay Hammond (1974-1982), and Bill Sheffield (1982-1986). The work depicts an old Sourdough and his three trusty malamute and husky companions taking a well-deserved rest at the top of a mountain on a sunny autumn day. In addition to the esteemed Governors' signatures, the print is numbered lower left and signed lower right by the artist in graphite. Matted and framed; measures approximately 43 x 28”.5 overall.
