Manufacturer: Para Ordnance Type: Pistol/Semi-Auto Model: Expert Caliber: 45 ACP Barrel Length: 4.5" Optics: N/A ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 2622 Serial Number (S/N): G111432 Reference Number (Ref #): N/A The Para Ordnance Expert, a semi-automatic pistol introduced by Para Ordnance (later Para USA), emerged from the company’s legacy of enhancing the 1911 platform, originally designed by John Browning. Founded in 1985 in Canada and later moving production to the U.S., Para Ordnance gained recognition for its high capacity 1911style pistols, with the Expert model launched in the early 2000s as an affordable, reliable option for shooters. Chambered in .45 ACP, it blends classic design with modern features, appealing to enthusiasts of defensive and range use. This example, serial number G111432, features a 4.5" barrel chambered in .45 ACP, equipped with an aftermarket slide and compensator for reduced recoil and improved control. It comes with three magazines, a Para hallmark, holding up to 14 rounds each, along with a case, safety lock, and holster. The pistol retains a stainless steel finish, typical of the Expert line, with standard three dot sights, weighing approximately 39 ounces and measuring about 8.5" overall. Its semi-auto action operates on the 1911’s short recoil system, modified by the aftermarket compensator. In fair condition, this Para Ordnance Expert shows visible wear consistent with use, though it remains fully functional. Manufactured in 2011, based on the "G" serial prefix per Para Ordnance’s numbering conventions under Para USA, it includes aftermarket upgrades like the slide and compensator, distinguishing it from stock models. With its case, magazines, lock, and holster, this pistol offers a practical package for shooters or collectors valuing a customized 1911style .45 ACP.
