A large and important grouping of over 50 black and white photographs directly from the estate of Harvey (1900-1980) and Ellen Goodale (1915-1991). This group emphasizes portraits, with many examples featuring grid lines indicative of final use in commissioned paintings, and one even containing an original sketch of a Yup'ik drummer on the verso. Beyond portraits, there are scenes showing a traditional kayak hunter, a grouping of commercial salmon fisherman utilizing a rowboat and plucking fish from their nets, an architectural image containing a bridge with a large housing building in the background, presumably somewhere in Anchorage, and village scenes. The largest image measures 10'' x 8''. Lots 1-28 and 30a are sourced from the same historic collection.
