Manufacturer: Kel-Tec Type: Semi-Automatic Rifle Model: SU-16B Caliber: 5.56 Barrel Length: 18.5" Optics: Iron Sight ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 3582 S/N: ND897 Ref #: 1410827 Notes: A Kel-Tec SU-16B chambered in 5.56 NATO with an 18.5" barrel and semi-automatic operation. Favored by many for lightweight field use, offering a balance of portability and practical performance. This semi-automatic rifle features a matte-finished metal receiver paired with a steel barrel and an olive drab polymer stock assembly designed for reduced weight and durability. The sighting system includes iron sights with an adjustable front sight and a rear sight integrated along the top rail. The receiver incorporates a Picatinny-style top rail for mounting optics if desired. Controls and functional elements include a right-side charging handle, and a folding stock design that allows the rifle to collapse for compact storage and transport. The integrated fore-end can also deploy as a bipod to provide additional stability when shooting from supported positions. The 5.56 NATO chambering delivers a combination of light recoil, flat trajectory, and practical accuracy, making it well suited for range practice, training, and general-purpose field use. The cartridge is widely recognized for its balance of controllability and effective range. Condition appears good with light to moderate surface wear consistent with regular handling. Finish remains presentable overall with minor handling marks visible on the metal and polymer surfaces. The rifle is noted to be missing the takedown pin, which may require replacement for full disassembly and maintenance. No other major cosmetic defects are present.
