The Amazing Spider-Man #34 comic book, published by Marvel Comics in March 1966, and titled “The Thrill of the Hunt!” Written by Stan Lee and illustrated by Steve Ditko, the plot centers on Kraven the Hunter, who returns to America to hunt Spider-Man by impersonating him and harassing J. Jonah Jameson to draw the real hero out. A notable factor in this story arc is the second appearance of Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborn, as well as the mysterious disappearance of Betty Brant. The comic concludes with Spider-Man defeating Kraven in an abandoned building and turning him over to the police, where Kraven honorably confesses his impersonation.
