A signed and numbered 864/950 print by the late Alaskan artist Fred Machetanz (1908-2002), entitled "The Nelchina Trial", by Alaska artist Fred Machetanz (1908-2002), depicting a trapper from Southcentral Alaska and his team of sled dogs as they crest the top of a pristine snow-covered slope in the Nelchina Glacier area. The dogs are ready for a sprint downhill on this sunny Alaska day, spruce trees below and the snow-covered Chugach Mountains in the background. Numbered lower left and hand-signed in graphite lower right by the artist. Loose, the print is housed in the original Mill Pond Press folio with the original artist's biography and information about the artwork. Measures approximately 24.75" x 30".
