A black ink hand-lettered poster print for the "Juneau Clothespin Art Show", as endorsed by The Daily Alaska Empire. Created for a c.1964 project for which Rie Muñoz collected ninety pieces of art from sixteen Juneau artists into a Volkswagen camper, and traveled from Juneau to Haines, Skagway, Atlin Carcross, Whitehorse, Fairbanks, Central and Circle Hot Springs, Palmer, Anchorage, and Soldotna. She was joined by her son, his friend, and along the way various artists such as Diana Tillion, Marge Huizer, and others. Despite Rie writing to city halls, chambers of commerces, and other venues inviting their interest in the upcoming art show, not a single one responded, so at each stop, she looked for a public building to string up the clothesline and pin up the artworks. The poster, printed by the Juneau Empire, is accompanied by a description of the event as well as additional biographical information. Shrink-wrapped on board measuring approximately 15.75" x 12.75" with a sight view of 15" x 12".
