A silkscreen image on fabric by Alaska artist Rie Muñoz entitled "Sleeping Warrior," a very scarce work that was never publicly released, estimated production approximately 1980. The image depicts a man, laying upon a bearskin rug, eyes closed and napping. Another man, holding a spear, is leaning down to tap the sleeping man upon the arm. In the background, two groups of figures are seen with bows, shooting arrows across the distance at their opposition. The wall hanging has a rod loop sewn into the left edge as photographed. The image was also produced as a proof on paper, and is available elsewhere in this auction for your bidding pleasure. Tapestry measures approximately 23.5" x 26.5".
