A signed and numbered 25/200 silkscreen circa 1986 by Alaska artist Rie Muñoz entitled "Throat Chanters". The work shows a scene experienced by the artist when she heard the Throat Chanters at a circumpolar conference attended by Eskimos from Greenland, the USSR, Canada, and Alaska. The women, from a remote village in Canada, stood with their mouths only inches apart, chanting. The sounds reverberated off each other's vocal cords, creating a strange echo or hollow sound, not unlike chanting through a long metal pipe. Numbered lower left and signed lower right by the artist. Shrink-wrapped on board with a Collector Art by Rie Muñoz Certification en verso. Measures approximately 24.25" x 16.25" with a sight view of 23.75" x 15.75".
