A c.1994 original collage study by Alaska artist Rie Muñoz that later became the limited edition print of 1250 entitled "Power Outage - Orcas (Self Portrait)". Six pencil and ink sketches depict the artist relaxing in her wicker rocking chair, reading a book by the light of three candles sitting on the window sill, her faithful dog resting on a coiled rag rug next to her. In the middle is the finished watercolor example bringing all the sketched elements together. The lower right sketch reads "Power Outage! Thursday a.m., 6 am. , 10-27-94" and has a tiny smiling portrait of the artist. The collage is backed in blue and housed in a simple frame measuring approximately 14.25" x 15.5".
