A limited-edition Disney sericel produced in 1999, entitled "Soda Shop Sweethearts," and depicting Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse sharing a romantic date at the Refreshment Corner over a soda fountain treat. Issued as the second release in a time-limited series that debuted on Valentine's Day 2000, the scene celebrates the enduring romance of Disney's most iconic couple. Disney artists created the image using the fine art screen-printing process of serigraphy, beginning with a specially produced hand-inked, hand-painted animation cel that American Atelier used as the production master. A total of twelve colors were screen-printed one color at a time onto the acetate cel. The accompanying background scene was specially created by Disney artists and lithographically printed on premium-quality, acid-free paper by Anderson Printing. Matted and framed with a Certificate of Authenticity en verso, it measures approximately 16.75" x 19.5" overall.
