A rare and highly unusual Motoped Cruzer motorized bicycle, consignor-stated to be a 2015 model year. Produced in extremely limited numbers, with roughly 500 examples believed to have been manufactured before Motoped ultimately ceased production, the Cruzer has developed a strong niche following among collectors and enthusiasts of uncommon American powersports and alternative transportation platforms. Designed as a street-oriented counterpart to Motoped’s more off-road-focused models, the Cruzer combined the styling and pedal functionality of a bicycle with the practicality and novelty of a small gasoline-powered assist drive system. The result was a uniquely engineered hybrid platform that attracted attention for both its industrial styling and versatile urban-cruiser concept. Due to the company’s limited production and eventual closure, surviving examples are encountered only infrequently on the secondary market. This example presents in an especially attractive configuration featuring the Cruzer’s distinctive frame geometry, brushed steel fuel tank, wooden fenders, Brooks saddle, Hayes braking components, NCY throttle assembly, and Berm Master wheels.
