This vehicle is being sold on behalf of the Municipality of Anchorage and presents a unique opportunity to acquire a heavy-duty four-wheel-drive platform with emergency-service capabilities. This Freightliner was driven to our lot and has started without issue during our possession. Built on the dependable FL60 commercial chassis, the truck features a rugged 4x4 drivetrain, elevated ground clearance, and a spacious cab configured with multiple emergency-service controls and accessories. Inside the cab are controls for features including an emergency light bar, automatic tire chains, and other miscellaneous operational equipment. The light bar was not functional during our inspection, and the horn will require attention as it would engage intermittently without the button being depressed. The rear ambulance body appeared to be in good overall condition and intact structurally, offering extensive interior workspace and storage potential for medical, rescue, utility, expedition, or contractor use. Full functionality of the ambulance equipment and onboard systems was not tested. With its commercial-duty construction, four-wheel-drive capability, and specialized service body, this Freightliner FL60 could make an excellent addition to a municipality fleet, remote operations contractor, off-road recovery service, industrial support fleet, or custom expedition build project.
