Manufacturer: Mossberg Type: Shotgun Model: 185D Caliber: 20GA Barrel Length: 26" Optics: Iron Sights ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 3915 S/N: N/A Ref #: N/A Notes: A Mossberg 185D shotgun chambered in 20GA with a 26" barrel and bolt-action operation. A solid contender for field use, small game hunting, and recreational shooting, with a classic magazine-fed shotgun design suited to regular sporting use. This bolt-action shotgun features a blued steel receiver and barrel paired with a wood stock and forend for traditional handling. The sighting system includes iron sights, with a front bead sight near the muzzle. Controls and functional elements include a right-side bolt handle, detachable box magazine system, traditional trigger, and manual safety components consistent with a bolt-action sporting shotgun. The 20GA chambering strikes a balance between effective field performance and manageable recoil, making it practical for upland hunting, small game, and general shotgun use. It offers lighter handling than many 12GA platforms while retaining useful versatility with appropriate loads. Accessories include one magazine. Condition appears fair to good overall, with visible handling marks, finish wear, and age-related wear on the wood stock, forend, and blued metal surfaces. Damage is noted to the trigger guard, and additional wear is visible around the stock and exterior components.
