Manufacturer: Springfield Armory Type: Rifle Model: 1903 Caliber: .30 Barrel Length: 24" Optics: Iron Sights ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 3743 S/N: 267246 Ref #: P12008324 Notes: A Springfield Armory 1903 rifle chambered in .30 caliber with a 24" barrel and bolt-action operation. Favored by many for collecting, historical military firearm interest, and range use, offering a balance of traditional handling, durable construction, and U.S. service rifle heritage. This bolt-action rifle features a blued steel receiver and barrel paired with a full-length wood stock and handguard for classic military-style handling. The sighting system includes iron sights, with a protected front sight near the muzzle and a rear sight mounted along the barrel. Controls and functional elements include a right-side bolt handle, internal magazine, traditional trigger, manual safety at the rear of the bolt assembly, barrel bands, sling swivels, and a fixed bayonet lug/front sight assembly. The .30 caliber chambering offers strong performance and historical significance, making it well-suited for collectors, military rifle enthusiasts, and experienced shooters. It provides the power and reach associated with early 20th-century U.S. service rifles. Accessories include an attached sling. Condition appears fair overall, with visible age-related wear, patina, surface oxidation, and finish loss on the metal components. The wood stock and handguard show heavy handling wear, discoloration, and scuffing consistent with long-term use and storage.
