Manufacturer: Mossberg Type: Shotgun Model: 500A Caliber: 12GA Barrel Length: 18.5" Optics: Iron Sights ATF Form 4473 Required: Yes Log: 3878 S/N: J617817 Ref #: P18022208 Notes: A Mossberg 500A chambered in 12GA with an 18.5" barrel and pump-action operation. A solid contender for defensive, utility, and range use, with a practical configuration that emphasizes reliability and straightforward handling. This pump-action shotgun features a metal receiver with a heavily worn silver-toned exterior paired with a dark finished barrel and tubular magazine. The shotgun is fitted with black synthetic furniture, including a ribbed forend and pistol-grip-style buttstock with a ventilated recoil pad and fabric shell holder installed on the stock. The sighting system includes iron sights, with a front bead sight visible near the muzzle. Controls and functional elements include a sliding pump forend, top-mounted tang safety, trigger guard-mounted action release, and bottom loading/ejection configuration typical of the Mossberg 500 series. The 12GA chambering is well-regarded for its versatility and power, offering dependable performance across defensive, sporting, and general-purpose shotgun applications. Its broad ammunition availability and range of load options make it adaptable for buckshot, slug, and target loads depending on the shooter’s intended use. Accessories include a fabric buttstock shell holder installed over the rear stock. Condition appears fair, with substantial finish loss, surface wear, scratches, and discoloration visible on the receiver and barrel assembly. The stock and forend show handling wear but remain serviceable in appearance.
