Year: 1975 Make: Norton Model: Commando 850 Mileage: 6,287 VIN: 331268/850F131563 Drivetrain: N/A Engine: 850CC Transmission: Manual Fuel: Gasoline Color: Red Title: Clean Registration: Expired Up for auction is a 1975 Norton Commando 850, one of the most iconic British motorcycles ever produced. Powered by its legendary 828cc air-cooled parallel twin engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, the Commando 850 is renowned for its strong torque, distinctive exhaust note, and innovative Isolastic frame system that helped reduce vibration while maintaining the classic Norton riding experience. This example shows 6,287 miles on the odometer and presents in good overall condition, appearing to have been well cared for throughout its life. The motorcycle has been stored for an extended period and retains an attractive, largely original appearance with only light cosmetic wear consistent with its age. Chrome, paint, and brightwork present well overall, making this an excellent candidate for preservation, light recommissioning, or addition to a vintage motorcycle collection. Due to long-term storage, no attempt was made to start or operate the motorcycle, as no battery is currently installed. Accordingly, the running condition is unknown, and no mechanical evaluation or diagnostics were performed. Buyers should expect routine recommissioning associated with a vintage motorcycle that has been in storage, including inspection of the fuel, electrical, and brake systems before returning it to service. With its low indicated mileage, desirable 850cc engine, and enduring collector appeal, this Norton Commando represents an outstanding opportunity for enthusiasts of classic British motorcycles. *This vehicle description is based on general observation and does not constitute a comprehensive inspection or guarantee of condition.
