Known for their exceptional fuel economy, simple mechanical design, and durability, early diesel Rabbits have developed a loyal following among Volkswagen enthusiasts and collectors. This example has had a replacement engine installed at approximately 110,000 miles and appears to have been well cared for over the years. The exterior is in decent overall condition for its age, showing the expected bumps, bruises, and cosmetic wear that come with over four decades of use while still presenting as a solid survivor. The interior is complete and appears to have been maintained, with the controls and cabin features functioning during our limited evaluation. Mechanically, the vehicle started readily and ran well during our inspection. The replacement engine adds value to this classic Volkswagen and reflects the care invested in keeping the vehicle on the road. No mechanical issues were noted during our limited function check, though buyers should expect routine maintenance consistent with the age of the vehicle. Whether you're looking for a nostalgic daily driver, an efficient classic, or a vintage Volkswagen to add to your collection, this Rabbit Diesel represents a great opportunity. Buyers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle in person and review all available photos prior to bidding. *This vehicle description is based on general observation and does not constitute a comprehensive inspection or guarantee of condition.
