A steamer trunk featuring brass-toned hardware, including corner bumpers, draw bolts, lock plate, and latch, with rivets throughout and leather handles on opposite sides, one of which has been torn in two; inside has newspaper lining the bottom. The trunk has heavy overall wear commensurate with age and use, including marks and discoloration throughout, rust to the brass hardware, tearing to the flat bottom and bottom edges of the trunk, which is traditionally crafted from canvas, paper, or leather depending on maker and age, exposing the wooden frame, and the lining inside is also torn and discolored. Trunk measures approximately 36" x 22" x 23" tall.
