An antique American Watch Co. Model 1857 double hunter pocket watch with key-wound P.S. Bartlett grade movement, produced circa 1871. This size 18s watch is housed in a coin silver case with a smooth body accented by engraved foliate decoration to the front cover. The white enamel dial features black Roman numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial positioned at six o’clock. The interior reveals an eleven jewel adaptable movement with gilt-toned plates and visible serial markings. The case retains its suspension bow and crown at the three o'clock position.
