A Rockford Watch Co. Model 1 pocket watch, produced circa 1877. This size 18s double hunter pocket watch is housed in a coin silver case with finely engraved floral and foliate decoration across both exterior covers, plus a cartouche on the front. The inside of the front cover features a geometric design of interlocking double circles as shown. The white enamel dial features black Roman numerals, dark hands, and a subsidiary seconds dial positioned at six o’clock. The gilt-toned nine jewel adaptable movement is visible beneath the hinged rear cover, and the watch has a crown and bow at the three o'clock position. Maker: Rockford Watch Co.
