Steiff's Dew Drop Rose Teddy Bear is an especially striking collector's bear, fashioned from deep dark-red mohair with black felt paw pads, dark eyes, and a coordinating fabric rose held in one paw. Introduced in 1999 as a North American Exclusive, the 40 cm bear was issued in a limited edition of 2,000 pieces and carries Steiff article number 670374. The rich burgundy coloring and rose accessory distinguish it from Steiff's more traditionally colored teddy bears and give the edition its romantic floral theme. This example retains its Button in Ear identification and is accompanied by its original presentation box, Certificate of Authenticity, and Werden Sie Mitglied! (Become a Member!) Brochure. Name/Model: Dew Drop Rose Dark Red 40 (670374) Brand: Margarete Steiff GmbH Year: 1999 Measurements: 13" x 6.75" x 18.5" tall Notes: North American Exclusive limited edition of 2,000 pieces; retains Button in Ear identification and original rose accessory; includes original presentation box and Certificate of Authenticity.
