Issued for the U.S. market in 1983, Steiff's Nimrod Campfire set brings together three small mohair teddy bears in an elaborate outdoors-themed presentation. The bears wear camping and hunting attire and are arranged with miniature accessories around a dimensional campfire scene, creating one of Steiff's more unusual themed collector displays of the period. The set is identified as Steiff article number 0210/22 and remains housed in its original window display box. Also included is the wooden sailboat originally issued with Steiff's 1996 Boatswain Teddy Bear limited edition, article 665127. That edition was limited to 3,500 pieces and paired a mohair Boatswain bear with this detailed sailing vessel. The boat features a painted wooden hull and deck, mast and rigging, miniature fittings, rudder, oars, and a cloth sail bearing the red Steiff logo; the accompanying Boatswain bear is not present.
