Part of September 2026 Cards & Collectibles Auction (timed auction by Alaska Premier Auctions & Appraisals)

High bid $800.00

Status: Sold

Category: Lawn & Garden

The Boring Company "Not-A-Flamethrower," the limited-production propane torch device released by Elon Musk's tunneling venture in 2018. Only 20,000 were sold, making the unconventional promotional release a recognizable piece of Musk and technology-company memorabilia; The Boring Company continues to list the original $500 item as sold out. Beyond its novelty fun factor, it is typically used for residential weed burning, ice melting, and brush clearing. Includes original box, "Not-A-Flamethrower Instruction Manual," and owner letter as photographed. Untested at time of cataloging. Box measures approximately 36.75" x 14.5" x 4.5" tall. Note: APAA is unable to ship any items containing flammable, explosive, caustic, liquid, or other hazardous materials. This may include ammunition; items powered by gasoline, propane, or kerosene (lawn tools, generators, grills and camp stoves, heaters, lanterns, lighters); liquids such as cleaners, paint, lava lamps, collectible beverage/perfume containers; items with rechargeable batteries (cordless power tools, laptops, other electronics); air compressors, neon signs, and other hazards such as printer toner, compressed gas cylinders, and more. If you are bidding on items of this nature and intend to use our shipping services, please inquire in advance as to the specifics.
