Powered by a 12.8L Mercedes-Benz MBE4000 diesel engine paired with an automatic transmission, this heavy-duty truck was previously operated by the Municipality of Anchorage and is equipped for winter road maintenance. The truck is fitted with a stainless-steel hopper-style sanding body with a rear material spreader, onboard controls, auxiliary tanks, work lighting, and associated hydraulic equipment. The chassis features tandem rear axles, air brakes, and a heavy-duty front axle. The municipal yellow cab and sanding equipment show wear consistent with their age and previous service, including areas of corrosion, surface rust, and general cosmetic wear throughout the chassis and equipment. The cab features an air-ride driver's seat, passenger seating, full gauge package, power accessories, and auxiliary controls for the installed road-maintenance equipment. The interior shows typical wear associated with municipal fleet use. The truck was delivered in running and driving condition and was operated around our yard during a limited function check. An air leak is present at the primary air tank and is audible while the truck is running.
