A finely carved French Renaissance Revival buffet cabinet in the Henry II style, circa 1880–1890, made in tightly grained European walnut. Classical urns, fruit and scrolling foliage fill the deeply carved door panels, while substantial turned columns, a molded top and a broad plinth give the cabinet a handsome architectural presence. Diamond-patterned drawer fronts, warm walnut figuring and ornate brass-toned hardware complement the crisp relief work. A slim pull-out slide sits above two drawers and paired cupboard doors opening to a divided storage compartment. The matching key with a long tassel accompanies the cabinet. This compact buffet combines the decorative richness of the French Renaissance revival with useful enclosed storage. Condition as photographed. Measures approximately 43" wide x 25.5" deep x 43" tall. Note: Item(s) in this lot may be very large, heavy, or awkward.
