A handmade Alaska Native mother-and-child doll by Agnes Noyakuk of Teller, Alaska, paired with a second fur-clad female doll. The Noyakuk group has carved bone faces and a back-carrying pouch integrated into the adult’s parka, a small construction detail that makes the relationship between the two figures immediately readable. Its clothing is identified as raccoon fur with white and brown rabbit trim. The companion doll wears cream, brown and gray furs tentatively identified as mink, caribou and raccoon. Larger approximately 3.5" x 2" x 9.5" high.
