An intricately carved vessel made entirely from walrus ivory, signed Charles Pullock, Nome, Alaska. Bowhead whale forms project from the sides and rim of the slender cylindrical body, their smoothly polished surfaces contrasting with a deeply worked, rippling-water texture. The small vessel uses the natural hollow ivory form as the center of a dense, three-dimensional aquatic composition. Approximately 3" x 1" x 2.5".
