A 22"-high carved wooden Lady Justice, blindfolded and holding aloft a set of scales suspended from metal chains. Flowing garment lines and the raised arm give the figure a strong vertical movement, while a snake beneath one foot adds a further symbolic detail. Incised lines articulate the long dress. A stable vertical fracture is present at the left shoulder. Approximately 8" x 6" x 22" high.
