A substantial Yup’ik coiled grass basket with a generously rounded body, fitted lid and raised central knob. Bands of muted green, purple and red geometric accents enliven the golden-toned coils, following the basket’s broad curves and continuing across the lid. Its approximately 14-inch height gives this finely worked utilitarian form a particularly strong display presence. Approximately 13" in diameter x 14" tall.
