A walrus ivory polar bear family by Iñupiaq artist Raymond “Oomok” Penatac (1947–2022) of Nome, Alaska. A large mother bear leads two small cubs along an elongated ivory base, the three animals forming a gently paced horizontal procession. The mother’s open mouth and bared teeth contrast with the cubs’ compact, quiet poses. Smoothly modeled bodies and subtle natural ivory color variation give the small group a cohesive sculptural presence. Signed Raymond Penatac along the base. Approximately 6" x 1.25" x 1.5".
