A finely detailed miniature coastal hunting camp by Iñupiaq carver Moses Milligrock of Teller, Alaska. Walrus ivory carvings bring together a stored skin boat, elevated food cache, hide-drying frame, a person and a tethered dog, all arranged on a textured square base with dried fibers. The concentrated scene gives particular attention to the structures and equipment of camp life, rather than presenting an isolated figure. The base bears the artist’s name and Teller, Alaska inscription. Measures approximately 5" x 5" x 2.5".
