A walrus ivory bowhead whale carving signed LCC for the St. Lawrence Island carver, Miller "Luther" Campbell, mounted vertically with its head down and tail raised above an oval base. Dark baleen inlays form the eyes, while incised lines define the mouth and flippers. The elongated composition follows the shape of the tusk, ending in broad raised flukes. Fine fissures are visible around the edge of the base. Measures approximately 2.5" x 1" x 10.25" tall.
