An engaging walrus ivory family group by Iñupiaq carver Isaac Koyuk (1944–2001) of King Island, Alaska. Two cubs clamber and play across their resting mother, their small bodies closely integrated into the low, elongated carving. The composition draws its interest from the bears’ interaction and the contrast between the mother’s broad form and the active cubs. Signed on the underside. Measures approximately 4.5" x 1" x 1.25".
