An Alaska Native wall hanging from Gambell, Alaska, with a central field of spotted sealskin and beaded GAMBELL lettering. Red, blue and pale hide panels carry stitched animal silhouettes, including whales, walruses, polar bears, seals and lynx, with seal-fur accents. Brown fur frames the composition, and floral fabric backs the piece. Surface cracking is visible on some border panels. Approximately 35.5" x 23".
