Three handcrafted activity dolls by Iñupiaq dollmaker Eva Heffle (1935–2010), whose work is represented in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. Individually carved wooden faces emerge from full fur-trimmed hoods, above detailed parkas and tiny tied mukluks. Each seated figure carries an activity accessory: a fish, a miniature bow drill or a small beading kit. The varied expressions, carefully assembled clothing and minute tools give the group an engaging sense of daily life. The clothing incorporates coyote, fox, mink and beaver furs. A clear display case is included. The case measures approximately 13.5" x 8.5" x 15.5" tall.
