A Turkish silk-and-cotton area rug in a Persian medallion-and-corner design, with a reverse label identifying Turkey as the country of origin and silk and cotton construction. A pale blue scalloped medallion anchors the olive-green field amid dense botanical ornament. Dark corner panels and layered rust, cream and floral borders create a richly framed composition with a pleasing contrast of warm and cool colors. The fringe and a small section along one side show material loss. Approximately 71" x 115" overall.
