Four wooden model dog sleds showing contrasting approaches to a familiar Alaska form. The substantial largest example, approximately 26.5" long, is by J. Pat Kennedy of Nikiski, Alaska. Another is built with upright side slats, while a third has a diamond-patterned rope backrest and a dark stone-like ring ornament. The smallest pale-wood model is signed beneath a runner by Alaska craftsman Richard Strand (1945–2015). The differing sizes, runner forms and lashings give the group variety as a display collection. The largest measures approximately 26.5" x 5.5" x 10.25" tall.
