A long, hand-knotted Bokhara-pattern runner with labels identifying Pakistan manufacture and 100% virgin lamb-wool pile. Two rows of nineteen oval gul medallions repeat along the deep red field, framed by closely worked geometric borders and fringed ends. The orderly medallion rhythm and richly colored field give the runner a strong decorative continuity across its nearly 12.5-foot length. Localized pile wear near the woven borders exposes underlying threads, as photographed. Measures approximately 36" x 149" overall.
