Three Alaska Native skin-boat models showing both enclosed kayak and open umiak forms. The larger kayak has a pale, thick hide covering stretched over a wooden frame; the umiak has a translucent covering with stitched seams, and a smaller skin-covered kayak completes the group. Miniature paddles and hunting equipment accompany the models, adding useful detail to the contrasting boat types. The umiak covering has a visible open separation along one side, as photographed. The larger kayak measures approximately 19.25" x 3.5" x 2.5" tall.
