A pair of gauntlet-style fur mittens with suede palms and fabric lining. An accompanying handwritten tag identifies them as genuine caribou from Hudson Bay and states that they were made in 1955 by Indigenous makers. Also included is a pair of handmade, unlined high-top fur moccasins with felt trim and braided laces ending in yarn pom-poms. The mittens show wear, loose stitching at the fingertips, exposed thread, and lining discoloration. The moccasins have become rigid. The moccasins measure approximately 10" x 3.5" x 6" tall.
