Three Tibetan Buddhist thangka devotional hangings in richly patterned brocade mounts with protective covers. The largest centers a seated Buddha on a pink lotus throne, framed by animated dragons and smaller figures, with red and gold-toned borders and an orange cover. A second, with a yellow cover, combines a circular mandala with the many-headed, many-armed form of Avalokiteshvara above it and surrounding sacred figures. The smaller hanging depicts a multi-armed tantric deity embracing a consort, against cloud-like ornament. The contrasting dark mounts, brilliant covers and intricate figural panels make a visually varied group. The smaller hanging has a small fabric tear and discoloration on the reverse. The Buddha-and-dragons hanging measures approximately 45" x 31".
