Two signed Artist's Proof African wildlife photographs by Alaska wildlife photographer Johnny Johnson (1947-2025). The first work is untitled and dated circa 2004. It shows a black rhinoceros walking through a grassy field dotted with small white flowers. Its head is raised toward the camera, revealing the hook-shaped upper lip and two horns, with the green grass growing softer in the distance. The second work, "Silhouette of Black Rhinoceros", is dated circa 2004. A rhinoceros stands in dark silhouette beneath a bright strip of distant light, its long front horn and curved back sharply outlined. Bands of warm light cross the horizon above the green pasture. Both pieces are signed and dated in the lower left or right corner in gold leaf ink and printed on Ilfochrome. A care guide and artist's biography are included on the reverse. Each one is shrink-wrapped on board and measures approximately 16.5" x 20.5".
