Two signed Artist's Proof photographs by Alaska wildlife photographer Johnny Johnson (1947–2025). "Black-Maned Lion", c.2004, is a close portrait of a lion resting in tall grass. The animal faces the viewer, its golden-brown face surrounded by the darker folds and long hair of the mane. "Lion Pride", c.1993, depicts lions resting in a broad green savanna. Their small, tawny bodies lie near the bottom of the image beneath a large blue sky and banks of white cloud. Both photographs are signed and dated in the lower left or right corner in gold leaf ink and printed on Ilfochrome. A care guide and artist's biography are included on the reverse. Each photograph is shrink-wrapped on board and measures approximately 20" x 16.5".
