Two signed and numbered photographs by Alaska wildlife photographer Johnny Johnson (1947-2025). The first example, "Sacred Ground", is dated circa 2014 and numbered 275/950. The accompanying description reads: "After months of cold and darkness, the icy grip of winter is but a distant memory. Fueled by the energy of eighteen hours of sunlight, new life explodes across the land. The cottongrass (arctic cotton) form a floral wreath around small kettle lakes-ancient relics of the last ice age-and twenty miles distant, the still ice covered mountains of Denali preside over the unfolding spectacle." The second example, "Sacred Ground", is dated circa 2014 and numbered 239/950. White cottongrass grows beside a dark-blue tundra pond, with the snowy Alaska Range across the horizon. The photographs are signed, dated, and numbered in the lower left corner in gold leaf ink and printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Supergloss paper. Also included are 1997/98 The Art of Johnny Johnson Limited Edition Ilfochrome photographs catalogs, and artist's biography sheets. The artworks are matted and framed under glass. The larger measures approximately 29" x 33" overall.
