Two signed Artist's Proof photographs by Alaska wildlife photographer Johnny Johnson (1947–2025). "Elephant Herd" (©2004) depicts a herd of African elephants moving across the open landscape of Tarangire National Park, Tanzania. The animals approach in a loose group, their broad ears, trunks and tusks clearly visible against low grass and a dark band of trees. "African Elephant" (©2004), photographed by the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, is a close, frontal portrait of a male elephant beneath an overcast sky. The close view brings the deep folds of its skin, massive ears and upward-curving white tusks into focus. Both photographs are signed and dated in the lower corner in gold leaf ink and printed on Ilfochrome. A care guide, artist biography, and Ilfochrome print list are included on the reverse. Each photograph is shrink-wrapped on board, and "African Elephant" measures approximately 24.5" x 20".
